This time our book is The Rainbow  by DH Lawrence. The Rainbow - a story of relationships over several generations of a family - was very daring when it was published in 1915 and was banned by a court order at the time.

Librarian's Choice - The Art of Stripes

This time our book is To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf. This book -- an early 20th century classic- explores  relationships and emotions in the setting of family holidays on the Scottish coast.

Librarian's Choice - Death on The Nile

When I first opened The Library, I decided that I wasn't going to shy away from 'challenging' challenges - even if no-one joined in! Some books are easier to interpret than others but I've been surprised and delighted to see the fabulous entries submitted for even quite tricky books, such as Death on the Nile. 

Any of the ten entries into this challenge would deserve a spotlight, but I've decided to pick out three that show how differently a theme can be used.
