The library challenge has reached double figures so it's time for (I think) an easy challenge - even if you haven't read the book,  The book is The Rose Garden by Susanna Kearsley. It's a time travel romance set in Cornwall and it's got roses, gardens, smugglers and a teashop - just to give you some ideas!

Here's how The Librarian interpreted this challenge:

Please do check the schedule in the side-bar. Challenge 9 (Where the Wild Things Are )  will remain open for another week and I'll be back on July 7th  with my 'Librarian's Choice' - projects which caught my eye.

I hope you will join The Library.

Librarian's Choice - Challenge 8 - Breakfast at Tiffany's

So many fabulous entries into this challenge - so agonising to pick just a few.

Sherri made a clean and simple city scene with just a touch of Tiffany blue.

Lynne paid tribute to the cover, but with a cute and fun twist.

Linby jokes that she has the 'national collection of New York fashionista stamps' and she put them to great use here.

I hope you will copy the badge (above) to your blogs.

The current challenge - Where the Wild Things Are  - is still open for another week and also I'll be back tomorrow with challenge 10 - a time-travel romance with a floral title.

Reminder from The Library (and a hint about Challenge 10)

According to a new study, the hallowed practice of bedtime reading is falling by the wayside — and that some quarter of a million children do not own a single book. This is a terrible shame, as regular bedtime stories have been shown to increase children’s performance in school, and are also awesome and can help create strong lifetime bonds, both with literature and with parents.

Here's a little reminder from The Library - but your books aren't overdue and there'll certainly be no fines!

It's just a reminder to join in the current challenge - 'Where the Wild Things Are'  - which runs till June 30th .

Challenge 8 starts on Sunday June 24th and is a time-travel romance with a floral title.

Challenge 9 is Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak which is a children's picture book first published in 1963. It's got a naughty child in a wolf costume, it's got a boat and an island and it's got monsters!

Librarian's Choice - Challenge 7 - Brideshead Revisited

What wonderful creations were entered into this challenge! They were all beautiful but I've decided to highlight two here:

Pia made a pretty, romantic card with a 'bride's head' (and body!) and a vintage car. (There's also a chapel in the background and there is one in the story too.)

Celebrate Together | by karen h @ carefree creations
Karen H almost recreated the cover with her colours, car, banner and sentiment.

I hope you will copy the badge (above) to your blogs.

The current challenge - Breakfast at Tiffany's - is still open for another week and also I'll be back tomorrow with challenge 9- a picture book suitable for a wild child.

Reminder from The Library (and a hint about Challenge 9)

“Never love a wild thing...If you let yourself love a wild thing, you'll end up looking at the sky.”

Here's a little reminder from The Library - but your books aren't overdue and there'll certainly be no fines!

It's just a reminder to join in the current challenge - 'Breakfast at Tiffany's '  - which runs till June 16th.

(I know some of you have got Audrey Hepburn stamps stashed away, so no excuse not to ink them up for this challenge, I think.)

Challenge 9 starts on Sunday 10th June and is a children's picture book that's the perfect read for a wild child.
