This time we have All Creatures Great and Small  by James Herriot - the memoirs of a Yorkshire country vet.  This is an omnibus of his original books and was a very successful 80s British TV series - so well-remembered that the Yorkshire tourist board use the term 'Herriot Country'.

Here's what The Librarian came up with:

More details on my blog.

This challenge will close on 18th May.

Challenge 31 (Chocolat)  will remain open for another week.

I hope you'll join The Library.

Librarian's Choice - Mary Poppins

Thanks for the fabulous entries into this challenge. Here are a few that caught my eye.

Debbie  found she had a neglected Mary Poppins stamp and made this wonderful shaped card:

Vanessa also used a Mary Poppins image, and coloured it beautifully:
Brenda  re-interpreted the cover, substituting Santa for Mary:

I hope you will copy the badge (above) to your blogs.

The current challenge, Chocolat, will remain open for another week, and I'll be back tomorrow with a new challenge - a book set in Yorkshire, and I've vetted it very carefully before posting it on the blog.(That's a hint. )

This time we have Chocolat by Joanne Harris. The story is about a chocolate shop in a French village so chocolates and France are obvious themes, not to mention all the things on the cover...

Thank you for the cute and clever entries into this challenge. Here are two that caught my eye.

A. Rose created a beautifully coloured scene starring the mouse friends:

Another Reminder from The Library - Mary Poppins (And a hint about Challenge 31)

Here's a final reminder to join in with the Mary Poppins challenge  which closes on 20th April.

This card was inspired by the film rather than the book ....but as the film was inspired by the book, that counts! Whereas I don't think there were kites in the original book, one does feature in the sequel (and I read that this scene is in the Mary Poppins Returns film).

The next challenge will start on April 14th and the book's name is a seasonal treat.
