This challenge we have a visiting librarian , Julie P , and she's chosen The Worst Class Trip Ever by Dave Barry.  This is a fun, modern, chapter book about American eighth -graders ( I think year 7-8 in UK) on a school trip to Washington. What a great cover!

Librarian's Choice - The Secret Garden

Fiona's card beautifully reflected the colours and woodland creatures of the cover:

DJ captured the colours and garden theme in a clean and elegant design:

The current challenge, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone , is open for another week, and come back tomorrow when a guest designer will be bringing us a schoolteacher's nightmare...

This challenge we have another children's classic , but more recent than our previous one - Harry Potter is a mere 22 years old. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is the first book in JK Rowling's magical series about a schoolboy wizard. (In the US this book was published as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.)
