Challenge 54 - Ballet Shoes

One of my favourite children's books, I read it again and again.

Quiet Please Crafters! You’re in The Library now.

You can be inspired by :
The cover
or
The title
or
The story

First published in 1936, Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfeild is the story of three orphans who get free tutition at a stage school, hoping to go on to support their adoptive family by performing on stage.

More details on my blog

This challenge will close on 21st March.

Challenge 53 (Elmer)  will remain open for another week.

I hope you'll join The Library.

  4. My all time favorite children's book (I still reread it occasionally just for fun) but I've never seen that beautiful cover! Will have to put my thinking cap on and see if I can come up with something for this challenge . . . as soon as I reread the book again.

  8. I had a fabulous idea based on this book but didn't get around to making it (ended up homeschooling my kids instead), but thanks for inspiring me to re-read this classic book!
